wee! :D

On Saturday, September 25th @ 12:45 AM AMC will be showing Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster.

I thought this was kinda cool, since it hasn't been on TV in a long time. :)

Here's the complete list of Godzilla movies coming up on AMC:

August 31st:

11:30AM - War of the Gargantuas
1:30PM - Terror of Mechagodzilla
3:00PM - Rodan
4:30 - Godzilla, King of the Monsters

September 16th:

9:50PM Godzilla, King of the Monsters

September 17th:

1:10AM - Godzilla, King of the Monsters
4:40AM - Terror of Mechagodzilla
6:10AM - Rodan

September 24th:

9:45PM - Rodan
11:15PM - Godzilla, King of the Monsters

September 25th:

12:45AM - Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster
2:15AM - Terror of Mechagodzilla

While the majority of us won't be watching these, I do think it's great that AMC is showing them on a pretty regular basis.. and some at very good time slots. :color:

I, too, have been disappointed in AMC. The whole commercial thing was bad enough. Then they started showing films that were made not too long ago! I remember back in 2001, when they still weren't using commercials and still showed actual classics, they had a real neat Monster Fest with the classics; Dracula, Wolf Man, CFTBL, etc. Now they show these cheap-budget films of the 70s and 80s for the majority of their Monster Fest now. I have found some salvation with Turner Classic Movies. Although I don't think they had nearly the Monster Fest that AMC has.

Ay, laddies, I to yearn for the wee old AMC. I tear up when I watch my copies of Son of Dracula and Brides of Dracula, and other creature features that I got off cable heaven before it became cable hell. Even my copy of Evil of Frankenstein, with just one commercial break, is a hundred times better than my unfortunate copy of Monster Zero I taped last year.

Laddies, let's campaign for AMC and Turner to show our Godzilla movies on his birthday! To quote a great Scotsman: "They may take our lives, but they shall never take our GODZILLA MOVIES!!!!!"
