Who directed the panic and evaction shots?

I was thinking despite the fact that Honda mentioned one of his fears was being overwhelemed by a crowd (an after affect of serving in Manchuria) and even though the Showa evacuation scenes look great and have yet to be matched. However, it seems like it would fall to an AD since there were no primary chracters in the scene (and considering how rushed Toho could be) but then again Honda was a AD on Stray Dog and was credited by Kurosawa for giving the film thet great look that it had in regarded to the feel of post war Tokyo. So maybe he took a personal intrest in these normally considered secondary series. So I was wondering was Honda actually responsibile for these great scenes of panic and fear (which I think add a great deal to the Godzilla films)?

I know Honda directed the scenes in the first Godzilla. I can't be sure about the sequels. He was directing one scene and an extra asked "What does Godzilla look like?" Honda replied with "I don't know, but he's coming! Run!"
<Vicious> "YOU ARE SAYING IMPUDENCE TO ME! THAT IS IMPUDENCE!" <Spike> OMGWTF!!!1-- The Worst Cowboy Bebop Fanfic Ever.

Some of the master shots, where special effects were to be incorporated, were directed by Honda. The evacuation scenes, were directed by Honda's long time assistant director, Koji Kajita.
