Hated the suit. Was blown away when I got on the internet and leared it was a fan favorite. Just goes to show you how nuts the rest of the world can be, and how sane I am all the time.

I love this suit! Kinggoji is the result of eating too many kaiju donuts, and Mosugoji is the result of his 6-month work-out regime, hehehehe!

I think Ed G's right on the money. High-speed filming can make or break the illusion of size almost as much as, if not more than, proper lighting and fog effects can, IMO.

I go with the majority on this one and think the effects are superb,considering the budget. I cannot see for the life of me how one can prefer the effects in KK V G. Just look at the shoddy matting,or that atrocious stop motion tentacle,and I actually really like KK V G,it's a terrific comic romp [well,in it's Japanese version],but the effects are one of it's weakest elements IMO,that are below the usual standard of Toho films of the time.And don't get me started on that ape suit!
