Crazy Terror of Mechagodzilla stock footage discovery!
Posted: Tue Apr 13, 2004 10:59 pmI think I've discovered stock footage in Terror of Mecahgodzilla that not only has NEVER been mentioned by anybody in any book or web site but it's also taken from a film which by 1975 was 12 years old:
Atragon.
Yes, I said Atragon. And I only discovered it thanks to the crystal clear R2 DVD. When the alien base is blown up right after Murakoshi frees the alien's prisioners, there are two shots of the exploding base that's actually the Muan generator after being frozen by the Atragon sub. It's as plain as day if you look at the ghostly white hardware on the left side of the screen which matches nothing previously seen in the shots right before the base blows up.
