*phew* The past few days I was worried I was forgetting things in the G-world. I guess some more sleep wouldn't hurt anyway...

Wow that's interesting.. I never thought of that before. It *would have* made more sense with Baragon in that role... considering the burrowing and jumping ability's Angilas didn't have in previous movies.

Also the "moving epicenter" mentioned in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla was also mentioned in Frankestein vs. Baragon... :teach: ...of course the Baragon suit would have been long gone by then... it was already older than the Angilas suit by quite a few years.

I thought Angilas always had jumping ablilites though? (Godzilla vs Gigan comes to mind)

That would have been cool if Baragon was included in COSMIC MONSTER. Then we'd have two big-eared monsters in one movie! :D And maybe the seventies movies would have felt a bit less repetitive, what with using the same monsters for each new film (Angilas had already been in the last two movies, even though briefly in GODZILLA VS. MEGALON).

I think I recall reading this as well, and even have what appears to be some sort of behind-the-scenes photo showing how they tried to adapt the Angilas costume for Baragon. I scanned this from the 1993 Japanese book Super Exciting Chronicle of Unmade Toho SF Vol.3:

You can see why they dropped the idea.

That's great, Robert! LOL!

Hey, are you coming to the screening of GOKE: BODYSNATCHER FROM HELL (Kyuketsuki Gokemidoro) this weekend?

Peace!
