Ok, so what the bloody hell is this?

It popped up on...let's say another forum, and I'm having a real hard time believing this "Bride of Godzilla" nonsense, apparently meant to follow "Godzilla Raids Again". The synopsis sounds completely insane, and I just can't wrap my brain around anyone at Toho coming up with this psychotic idea that early in their monster/sci-fi films.

Does anyone with more knowledge that me know anything about this?

Nothing i've read about it seems even remotely 1950s Toho.. if this were in the 70s, it would be a little less far fetched but even then its way out in left field. Looking at what Toho put out in the 50s and the first half of the 60s, i really find it hard to believe.

Other than that link you point to, the only other thing i have seen is the Japanese blog post its based on.

The book apparently is mostly about G'84 and Biollante, but their is a decent portion of the book dedicated to "non-production work" which includes:

Bride of Godzilla
Godzilla legend Asuka Fortress
Godzilla vs King Kong Continued
A Human Vapor Sequel
Frankenstein vs Godzilla
Flying Battleship
Mothra vs Bagan
Flame Man vs Invisible Man(?)

So even if this was real, it sounds like it was completely discarded and i don't really understand the fascination with ideas that were downright rejected. I can understand the interest in "lost" films like Gamera vs Garasharp which shut down during production, a cut stop-motion/animation sequence from Biollante, or even high production fan films like Godzilla vs Wolfman, but i don't understand things like Bagan or this. I would hate for my legacy to include all the bad ideas that ended up on the cutting room floor, yet alone all the bad ideas that never made it off the white board.

I still think this stuff is neat, ESPECIALLY crap like Bride of Godzilla simply because of how strange it is. I mean, I don't get the obsessive cult of Bagan or the like, but it's a neat bit of trivia.

I mentioned this before (I think it was on the cool pictures thread), and it sounds as weird as it looks, I doubt any actress back then would do such a rolll as a giant naked mecha-lady.

So, imagine we had Bride of Godzilla, what's next, Abbott & Costello meets Godzilla?, House of Godzilla?, Young Godzilla?

Well, we did get a "Godzilla 2000".

Ok, so while it isn't a 100% match up, i am suspicious that this is actually a misunderstanding compounded by a poorly translated retelling of Shigeru Mizuki's 1957 Godzilla comic titled "Kaiju Raban".
