Deadliest Enemies:

1. Tie: King Ghidorah/MechaGodzilla
2. Hedorah
3. Gigan
4. Mothra (one of the few kaiju Godzilla never defeated in the showa era)
5. King Kong

I just don't see how Ghidorah is stronger than Hedorah and Mechagodzilla. I'm pretty sure both of them would be capable of giving him some serious problems...to the point where he'd just retreat, like he always does.

Don't get me wrong, King Ghidorah is one of my favorite Toho characters, but he can be a chicken "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" at times, I don't see him being able to deal with Hedorah's sludge, or Mechagodzilla's arsenal.

Yeah. I think if we're making them face off against eachother, Ghidorah would probably die. I mean, all the monsters in DAM did was really beat on him until he died. MechaGodzilla has an actual arsenal. Hedorah could probably beat him, too.

But just as mentioned, Ghidorah would probably fly away before it ever came to that.

Hedorah probably has the highest body count of any of Godzilla's foes, and was definitely one of Godzilla's most dangerous.

Second is Mechagodzilla. When he lets loose with all his weapons, it is just deadly. He beat the crap out of The G-Man. That is still the bloodiest Godzilla battle in all of the movies, not just the Showa series.

King Ghidorah gets a nod of course since Godzilla could never beat him by himself. He always needed at least one partner to take down the three headed terror. And I still maintain Ghidorah won the fight at the end of Monster Zero. If the ending to KK Vs. G equals a win for Kong then the same should apply to this film. Ghidorah was the only monster to surface, so in my mind, he won and just flew home to lick his wounds.

Gigan gets a special nod for being the first foe to actually draw Godzilla's blood. As a kid, that stunned me to see Godzilla's blood just flow out of his shoulders like that.

Gotta give some love to Mothra as well. She beat the crap out of Godzilla and had she not been at the end of her lifespan, that battle would have gone very differently.
