I think My FAVORITE era is 62-65, because that's where the best quality lies (excluding the original of course) but 71-75 Is just sooo much fun. I can't wait until we have a good copy of Megalon, so I can marathon them properly.

Four of the five '70s films are among my favorite Godzilla movies, and the fifth (Megalon) is still a lot of fun. My all-time favorite Godzilla film is Terror of Mechagodzilla. I think that makes the '70s my favorite decade.

With the exception of Hedorah, which I honestly don't care too much for (I can see the appeal, but for the most part, it's just not for me), the '70s Godzilla films are freaking rad. They're great "anytime" movies and I probably watch them more often than any of the others.

I love the 70s films. Gigan and MechaGodzilla are the first Godzilla movies I ever saw. In fact, I just rewatched Gigan last night. And it still brings back a ton of memories and its still one of my favorites. In fact, putting nostalgia aside, I even think its a lot better than its reputation.
