Which of the following monsters would you liked to have seen form a tag-team with Godzilla in a Showa movie?

Gorosaurus: He and Godzilla seemed to work well in Destroy All Monsters. I think there was some untapped potential with the two of them as allies.

Mothra (Adult): Each time Godzilla and Mothra worked together, she was in larval form. It would've been fun to see the imago form allied with him.

Baragon: It'd be cool to see Godzilla teamed up with another not quite-dinosaur with a heat ray.

Other: Varan, Manda, Kumonga! The possibilites are endless. Kind of.

Baragon, an Angilas-esque team up, but still make Baragon a little more aggressive and less helpful just to differentiate the two.

I like that shot in Destroy All Monsters when Gorosaurus and Godzilla turn to look at each other for a second before charging King Ghidorah. It's like they're both acknowledging, "Hey, don't really know you but it's cool to see a fellow theropod for once. Come on, let's get this guy!"

The biggest missed opportunity of the Showa era was that we never got to see Godzilla join forces with Gamera against two evil monsters in the late '70s. Imagine how cool that would have been.

As much as I love Gorosaurus, we already saw Gorosaurus as Godzilla's ally in DAM.

Although it's not a showa film, Mothra Adult was Godzilla's ally in GFW against Gigan and Monster X.

I love Baragon, but I prefer him as an adversary to G.

If this poll was still open, I would vote for Varan. For one, Varan hasn't had any major roles since his orignal film (unless your consider the 5 second flying prop in DAM as a significant role).

Secondly, Varan was considered for being an ally for Godzilla in the unused "The Revenge of King Ghidorah" script where Godzilla, Rodan, and Varan would have battled KG, Gigan, and Mogu (an unused kaiju).

However, I would rather see Godzilla and Varan duke it out :turnbad: Varan is a simple, yet strange kaiju...his gliding skills would have made for some interesting fight/battle sequences...
