My appreciation for this film increases as I appreciate the sheer rewatchablity of it. It's a low budget, quickie Godzilla film made by one director trying to ape another director who made Godzilla films in a time when more time and money were spent on them and uses a ton of stock footage and music from that former director's films... the end result of that muddle could have been a film that just sort of shudders and stops, but instead it's wacky and fun and breezes by.

And the dub is an accidental masterpiece.

one other thing i forgot to mention that i love about this movie.

nobody changes their clothes.
EVER.

it's like they are cartoon characters that have to always wear the same outfit at all times.

^I was gonna say that the manga theme extends to all the characters: they're all visually distinct in size and shape and wear the same set of clothes.
