Well, unless your video machine defenitly supports it, it's not worth it. However, the VHS actually looks far better than the Simitar/Classic Media DVD. The 4 Front Video UK releases were pretty much some of the best prints I've ever seen, second only to Toho's region 2 DVD's.

James, the version you mentioned that's just in widescreen wouldn't be the international version. If it were indeed the actual international version, it would be in anamorphic widescreen.

Of course the dubbing is the same from the international version, which is probably what you meant.

I believe they were the international versions, just reframed for 16:9. I'd have to check that however. Whatever they were, they were damn fine video quality.

I cant believe no one ever fixed the mistake and tried to find the unedited version. It's a little far-fetched to swallow the fact that, after twenty years, no one realized the mistake and took steps to fix it. Come on, the version we've been seeing all these years is so imcomprehensible in the last 10 minutes.

Once again, hurray for Toho's DVDs. I've never seen skies so blue or grass so green. LOL
