THE SEA MONSTER in a theater, by all means, do so -- it's even better in the venue it was meant to be presented. The colors and photography will assault your eyes! Sony Repertory has the original Japanese version w/English subs available for theatrical screenings, so let your local repertory theater know that it's available (they also have SON OF GODZILLA and the Heisei films available).

Regarding All Monsters Attack, I've never liked that one. Even when I was 8 years old, I thought it was a stupid movie.
I do have a soft spot for Godzilla vs. Gigan, though. A lot of people rag on that movie, but I really like it in spite of its shortcomings.

Posted: Sun Mar 04, 2007 5:44 amMan, even as a kid I didn't have the patience for Godzilla's Revenge. It doesn't help that the kid's pants are so short he looks like he's wearing a diaper, either.
The first and, for a long time, only Godzilla movie I owned as a kid was Godzilla vs. Megalon, which probably accounts for why I like that one so much. It was a Christmas present too..::waxes nostalgic::
As for Godzilla vs Gigan, honestly I think it can be a pretty hard one to sit through, though, as you might have noticed, I have a bit of a soft spot for Gigan.
