I would think that Cinema Shares re-edited Godzilla On Monster Island, Godzilla vs. Megalon and Godzilla vs. The Cosmic Monster strictly for television. If children were the predominant audience for these films back then, It's possible that they figured all the blood, nudity and violence was not necessary for such kid-friendly material. Afterall, "Megalon" was shown on network TV, in edited form in... '76, was it? I'm not up on my kaiju history as of late, so if someone could help me out with that, I'd be much obliged.
