I must admit when I rewatched the scene I found a rather obvious reason: The doctor examined them simply because the protruding white eyes were so striking. Probably anyone would have done this. Heck, there goes my parallelism ... :lol:

The white orb Godzilla is holding in his right hand appears dented up, could this be the eye Godzilla knocked out earlier in the film? (Its hard to tell where exactly each orb came from on Hedorah's body when Godzilla pulls them out)

Yeah! What great images! ^_^

I think that the yellow bumps on his back is where the bulk of Hedorah's Acidic chemicals are stored. Sulfer is yellow after all and there seems to be a high concentration of yellow on those bumps as well as in the poweded eye in the microscope scene, possibaly explaining why his hand got skeletonized when punching his eye but not when he punched other parts of his body.

I wonder though what chemical does the red markings represent?

I really love debating Hedorah's Biology it seems so much simpler than other monsters yet at the same time so much more complicated. =^_^=

Here are some more pictures. I have a Japanese book that explains some of the anatomy of Hedorah, I'm waiting for my Japanese friend to translate everything for me.
