Having just watched the DVD, the young man does refer to Ken's father as brother. And when we see the family having supper, he's right there with them. The girlfriend is nowhere in sight, making me believe that he instead of she was related. Still, whole relationship thing is a muddled one.
Other than the "Superman beats them all", AIP did a marvelous job dubbing and didn't deviate from anything. Heck, I'd rather listen to Ken in his dubbed voice rather than his own, because IMO, he sounds much smarter!
