*King Seesar and the whole "prophecy/awakening" side story seemed really disjointed from the alien subplot
*The music was too low-key, although that wierd little peice played during the opening credits and the end (The "Azumi" theme, apparently) is still stuck in my mind
Now a few questions:
*What was up with monsters appearing out of nowhere? Anguirus just pops right out of the ground and dissapears just as fast (This I can understand, given his newfound burrowing properties), and Godzilla just appears from inside a building. I'm confuddled.
*At the beginning when the woman has a premonition, it shows a picture of King Ghidorah. Huh? Shouldn't they have shown Fake-Goji or MechaGodzilla? It must've been a dissapointment to some KG fans out there that he never showed.
*What exactly were the aliens trying to do? I mean, were they out to get Goji to conquer earth? I suppose it's assumed; it's never stated to my recallection. Or were they like bounty hunters trying to get him and cause collataral damage to Japan as a matter of revenge on behalf of one of the other alien races? I'd like to think the second unless the movie specifically contradicts this; it's more interesting that way.
While it's a superior film to the other late 60's and 70's films, that's really not saying much
