Hey, MouthForWar, which non-genre films of Ishiro Honda's have you seen, and how do you happen to see them? It's my understanding that pretty much everything he did outside the sci and fantasy genre is incredibly obscure, even in Japan.
Anyway, I'd like the put Frankenstein Conquers the World and War of the Gargantuas on my list of the great Honda movies. Two, very "dark" (with tongue planted firmly in cheek), yet hilariously, goofy films that showcase the man at his creative sumit.
