I read it an 1980's Biography on him. It describes him constantly ordering sets built camera tested and then rebuilt... again and again.... and basically intentionaly squandering as much time and money as possible. When he signed on he was under the impression that some director he greatly admired would be helming the American half (David Lean maybe? I can not recall.), but considered the director actually hired such a hack that he wanted out.

I've never liked King Kong, particularly not the peculiar version Toho presented. Thus, I can find no merit in a timeline that merely parrots the Showa timeline, only substituting King Kong for Godzilla.

(Anguiras' breath weapon in the God:DAMM game is called Sonic Roar. It's not unusually damaging, but it stuns opponents even with a low-power hit.)
Does anyone else listen to Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" and think of "Save the Earth?"
