I wonder what's the claw thing that came out of the ground? Mothra?

I was wondering the same thing. It's got to either be Mothra or a completely new monster we don't know about yet.

Not gonna lie, my first thought was "Kumonga?!"

Me also. Looks good though. Rodan looks like he is a heavy hitter.

I was thinking Mothra as well, but if those are its legs, then it's coming out of the ground upside-down. It doesn't look like King Ghidorah's tail either.

Not to mention there's that other shot of "something" burrowing under the ground that seems like it's from the same scene. That doesn't really seem like Mothra's style, at least not if she's in her imago form.

What about the insects from the original Rodan movie?

Destroyah and Angilas?

That close-up of her face looks very "Mothra" too, in a way we couldn't really see from the S.H. MonsterArts figure pics. I like it. Same with that big stealth bomber-looking aircraft. It almost feels like Legendary's version of a Super X or something.

Movie looks absolutely bonkers. Like everything I've been waiting for. One negative I'm seeing here is those that complained about how dark G14 is, get ready for more battles in a dark rain storm!

^^^Not watching trailer cause I don't want to ruin the look/feel of the movie.

^ Against my better judgement I peeked at that, and no, that's not in there in any way, shape or form.

Another thing I really liked was Rodan trailing lava as he flew overhead in that one shot, and his positioning just on the "which are here to protect/which are here to threaten" boundary of the narration.

And on that note, I really like how they're separating the monsters into "good guy" and "bad guy" categories. Again, just a really Showa kind of thing where you knew exactly where a monster stands as soon as they appear (again, apart from the ones that could sometimes be both).

I'm now pretty much sold on everything. I was obviously gonna see it no matter what, but even that Mothra design I didn't like looks good now.

I'm so glad they gave us that closeup shot of Mothra's face. It really does look like an updated design of the classic Mothra. Just enough features of the old with enough changes to be new. I am totally sold on Mothra's design.

So people are trying to guess the claws coming out of the ground. Is it possible for Legendary to get the license to a few other Toho monsters in secret? Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah were announced to the public.

So yeah. Looks good...

I just noticed that in the shot around the 20-second mark with the battle over Washington seen from inside the cockpit of that big stealth bomber-type thing, you can see Ghidorah's silhouette in the storm cloud when the lightning strikes. That's pretty cool.
