I don't know much about this young actress, but I am rather shocked that they've started casting announcements this early for a movie that will not come out until March 2019. Is Legendary actually gunning for this Spring shoot as was discussed on another thread?

^Maybe! Perhaps, as I mentioned before, they're filming King of Monsters and vs. Kong back-to-back, so the filming's kinda screwy?
I wonder if Brown will be playing... twins?

It really seems like they're planning to start shooting soon. We got the first casting news for Godzilla in January 2013 and the movie started shooting that March.
The sequel was originally slated to open on June 8, 2018 until Paramount barged in on that date with Transformers 6 and WB wisely chose to move Godzilla: King of Monsters. Maybe they just didn't experience any delay in their pre-production timeline even with the postponed release date (and change in directors) and this is just Legendary and WB moving on their original track, producing a movie that could be done in time to open in summer 2018 but just waiting until the following March to release it.

I really think she might be some equivalent to the Shobijin: connected to Mothra somewhat like Asagi in Gamera: GotU?

^Stranger Things is a whole lot of fun. Especially if you're a fan of '80s sci-fi and horror movies, which the series is an homage to.

I think Mothra has to have some kind of supernatural element tied to her, otherwise she's just a big bug. I doubted that something a bit on the outlandish side like that might be included judging from the tone of Godzilla '14, but after Kong: Skull Island and Dougherty taking the reins as director/writer/shaper of the shared universe I think the sky's the limit with outlandishness.
