"I guess" is right. I suspect we probably won't hear any REAL news until 2013.

^With the movie coming out sometime in 2014 that seems likely.

As far as I know, 2014 hasn't been confirmed by Legendary to be the new time frame for release, and is simply an educated guess by fans. Though It's safe to assume it definitely won't be out next year. What with the lack of progress on the project, and PACIFIC RIM already being confirmed for next summer.

If there's actual footage screened, I hope it's released online after. Sounds like we'll get our first look at the new Godzilla. Can't wait!

The news on Godzilla is surprising. If we get footage+lots of new info I give props to Legendary for keeping their mouths shut. NDA's for the win.

Yeahhh, I'll believe it when I see it. At the very least, I'm looking forward to finally seeing some stuff on PACIFIC RIM, so we at least have that to look forward to.

I would think that if Legendary and Edwards have finalized the look Godzilla will have for their film AND if they have an FX house locked then they most likely do have footage being put together far in advance to "fine tune" his look, plus to see what the Big Guy will look like in certain scerarios, poses, in different lighting, etc. But unless their security is tighter than Fort Knox I cannot imagine that it wouldn't somehow have been sneaked out onto the net in some form... still, clip, etc. And if not now then very soon... (fingers crossed)
