I still don't get this apprehension to new Godzilla foes. If people at Toho were this worrisome, half the Showa era wouldn't exist. Part of the old Godzilla films was trying to introduce a new monster in each film.

One of my complaints about the Millenium era movies were that they were restricted to using nothing but older characters. Toho can be creative when they want to be. What's to say this studio can't be as well?

Add a new monster and bring back an old one. Everyone is happy.

Wait, no, this is the Godzilla fandom. The worst of them all. Where best possible DVDs based on the circumstances are thrown at the wall, and folks get mad whether they like Brand X figures vs Brand Y figures.

It will cost less for LP to make their own Kaiju! Like I said though... for me, I don't care if they use a new or existing opponent. I can see both arguments.
