The feet are different, but they don't kill the awesome design. I like the term "bronto feet".

I didn't say specifically Godzilla was self censoring, but the Hollywood system in general cranks out PG-13 films which is invariably going to be geared towards avoiding content or framing it in a way to pass the board of "real-life parents" who decide the rating of a film.

Minor spoilers:

I think what best illustrates my point is the scene in Dark Knight when the Joker shoots the bank manager. While Christopher Nolan obviously did a good job of framing the scene for the right mood, and William Fichtner did a good job acting like he had been shot, it's glaringly obvious that there's no outward PHYSICAL effects of the damage in terms of blood or carnage.

The sea rose as a wall of sharp spines sliced thru the surface. The water boiled and churned as fish of all species floated on their sides, dead. Godzilla, the demon god had emerged.

Eh... I think its more realistic for him to lean forward a bit... I mean, how heavy do you think his top is?

What I take from this is that they're using much the same stance as Millenium G-suit actor Tom Kitagawa did; reaching for a more realistic pose/performace that's still very "man-in-suit" - which is a good balance, if you ask me. All of this is moot anyhow until we actually see the movie and observe how he moves on film. His posture may change (much like any person or animal) throughout the film, depending on what he's doing, how much exertion he's under, the rise/fall of the ground, etc., etc. Let's not just assume or pick too many nits... just yet.

Kiryugoji > Biogoji.

There, I said it Mechaghidrah. 8) Nice to see you're getting new tunes though.

EDIT: I still hate the design of the feet though.
