Good to see getting good reactions, I hear the 3D is amazing.

Does anyone know if it was shot with 3D cameras, or is being post-converted?

I have no desire to watch a 3-D movie. It's largely a gimmick that is not worth the extra cost. It adds nothing to the film itself.

Movies that are post-converted and not shot in native 3D (like Avatar was) just don't appeal to me. Honestly I don't get additional enjoyment from 3D films. The spectacle just isn't there. Avatar was really great visually but I can't say the 3D aspect changed much about the film.

Gravity is the only movie I've seen in 3D that I felt actually used the medium to its fullest. That movie was incredible in 3D. Otherwise I'm not a fan of 3D and indeed EVERY post-conversion I've seen was crap.

3D does nothing for me...but I'll probably see this in 3D to create variety since I'll undoubtedly be watching this a few times.

You know what I can't wait for? The fight scenes. So hering Flying Muto is like a gorilla in terms of stance and looks like so as well. Godzilla was described as a Komodo and a bear. So it'll be like a Komobear fighting an Arial Gorilla.

Saw 300 RoaE tonight (decent flick but not quite as much fun as the original to me) and, surprise, surprise, I actually saw the trailer for Godzilla (yeah, yeah, I know I said I was done with this thread until the movie comes out...so sue me  ) and I made 2 observations. Based on the trailer, which was shown in 3D, I won't be going out of my way to see it in this format as there was no appreciable difference. Now, bear in mind that I have a Derpy eye so my depth perception is quite limited to begin with, thus rendering ANY 3D movie kind of pointless for me so your mileage may vary...the second thing I noticed was that the trailer seemed a little shorter. Like a few frames had been snipped here and there. The bridge scene in particular seemed to stand out in this respect. Otherwise, it was great to see, really got the adrenaline going!

Does anyone know if the IMAX version with only be in 3-D? I too have no interest in seeing anything in 3-D (it's on its way out anyway), especially post-conversion 3-D. But I was interested in seeing Goji as my first IMAX experience...
