If the format is still loved by Hollywood I'd love to see an Imax 3-D Godzilla, that'd be a fun ride if planned from the getgo. The fact that there's no writer or anything and the statement about 3-D might be dead by the fact he's brought back is kind of hopeful to me. I really don't want this movie to come out in 2012. I don't feel Goji has the box office pull to trump Spider-Man, MIB, Batman, and any of the other things coming out. So if this indicates (by my own weird interpretation of the facts) a later release, then thank goodness.

Ah...gotcha...well that would make alot of sense at this point seeing as how 2012 is pretty full and 2013 is looking rather bleak...worse things could happen. I too would rather have a quality film that takes a lil longer to come out

I love how some people think this movie is headed for development hell or that its release will be postponed a year since we haven't heard any news about its progress, even though it hasn't even been three months since the project was announced. I guess being overly anxious for updates can make things feel hopeless, but in the words of everybody's favorite captain, "Get a grip!"

All Legendary has done is announced that they have the rights to make movie and that they hope to have the movie out by 2012. They never promised a thing.

Now saying that, I still think 2012 is doable and I very much think they are pushing for that. If you look at their production schedule, right there is not much there for 2012.

Of course I guess the smart thing to do is wait for official news. And get your panties un-bunched.
