My opinion is more in line with Jelly's, I think if it's in the film it needs to be a small part of it. Otherwise I think most people are going to groan and roll their eyes about at it.

I'm unsure exactly how we've come to this, but I do find the idea of Hedorah being used interesting. Is it likely? Maybe, but personally I'd like Legendary Pictures to come up with a monster of their own if there is to be monster showdown fun in the new film. Either way, it's an interesting idea.


We need more news on this project (heck just attach a director that'll keep this thread going for 22 extra pages), one can only take so much fan speculation before one's brain begins to melt. :(

The Oil Slick Monster will be this giant winged thing that rises up menacingly from the gooey muck and then has to be hand-cleaned by 10,000 volunteers wearing rubber gloves and working from a giant tent on the beach.

Meanwhile, Godzilla destroys the world.
