Holy crap there are people who think the Mothra fairies are in this movie... (._. ) And major news sites are running with it...

Why doesn't anyone follow what we say on Sci-Fi Japan huh? Why's it gotta be some schmuck who thinks Gigan, Mothra, Ghidorah, Destoroyah, Rodan are in this movie? Which makes no sense btw, because if they were in the movie, they would be advertised as well. I forgot which movie site said it but it was along the lines of "For all we know these monsters could be new, and inspired from old ones. But considering Toho's cast library of creatures, this seems unlikely."

(._. ) as if Godzilla fighting new enemies is not a Godzilla tradition.

Gareth Edwards, a man who knows his monsters, turning Mothra into some kind of killbeast? For "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" sake, kids.

Nice to see Empire Magazine giving us a hint at his size. 150, 200 Meters HAH!

I think the glimpse of Godzilla that they do show is masterful.

Okay, that might be a little strong, but it works so well. We finally get to see the cause of all this terror and chaos, and it is a fleeting glimpse. Just enough to tell us that he's "big and terrible." :)

10 million views already for the trailer.

I'd love to see some data as to trailer views and how that translates into ticket sales...

Supposedly Pacific Rim had around 13 million before the movie's release if we are going to compare.

Also, sweet! Let us know how the issue is.

Edit:

So this site has pics of the empire issue - scroll down towards the middle.

Trailer views does not a big hit make.

But a booming sense of anticipation, like the kind we've seen boiling since December…well, cross you fingers, but I think we'll be in a good place come May 16.

Anyone I've shown the trailer to or mentioned the movie in general has been excited about it.

I have seen a few "ugh, not another remake"-s and "how many damn Godzilla movies are they gonna make"-s peppered throughout Youtube in Facebook, but those opinions will always be there.

I got a lot of "How many times are they going to remake this?"

Then I answer them by saying, "James Bond."

End of story.

Comparing all the designs and toys, I cannot tell if the poster shot from Brazil/Light and Sound toy is the exact same design we see in the trailer. The empire pic looks close to the trailer design. I'm also wondering what color Godzilla actually is...not that it really matters much but it's hard to tell.

The trailer for Machete Kills had something like 50 million views or something and that movie made like $3, so yeah...
