They're fire fighters... anything to get a headline these days, I guess.

I'd love it if Edwards or someone else on the film posted a video where they say, "A lot of people have questioned whether that's the Mothra fairies" and then just laugh for 5 to 6 minutes.

All of the psuedo-critical idiots hating on the movie in the comments section on YouTube sadden me. They're just trying so hard to act smart that they end up coming off as even stupider.

First off the are not firefighters common sense would tell anyone that those outfits are not fire gear who ever heard of pink fireman's outfit!
If you look closely you can see that they both have long black hair which is pulled back by a beige hat, and they have a feminine figure. Now could these be The Twin Faeries?? I hope so but i am fine if it isn't but one thing for sure they aren't is firefighters. SHEESH

Sorry but those outfits look pink (not black, not yellow, not green) they are pink!!
They are female shaped faces..By way did anyone see any other fireman wearing those same outfits in that scene or more importantly in the entire trailer??? Why would there be two lone firefighters on that on little balcony and nowhere else are they're anymore to be seen.. I will talk to my contact and get back to you with a true answer to settle this once and for all..

Lets boil this down to the simplest argument possible –

Would WB/Legendary put Mothra, Rodan or King Ghidorah in this movie and not promote them?

Whether the firefighters suits are pink or whether that flying monster has a beak is secondary to the very real business reality. If you've got brand-name adversaries you promote them in the buildup to the movie.

All i know is they are not firefighters...Why would there be only two in that scene???
Mothra does not have to be in it for the faeries to be present. It could be a homage scene just like in the GMK scene where mothra swoops past the city street and we see two twin women dressed in white (who are supposed be a homage) looking up at her as it happens.

....I had a long post, but at this point, logic and reason aren't going to work for some people. They'll see what they wanna see. I'll just laugh and laugh and laugh when I see the movie and see that they're firemen.

When zoomed in, they look NOTHING like the twins.

And Its true. Ed Rosek IS a firefighter and is in this scene.

He's also getting a kick out of this idiocy on Facebook.

Word form the marketing team is that it is true that they are firefighters in that scene but they were only a template but will be replaced with the faeries right before release day.. :|

Cute to see the Empire article actually reference the Hanna-Barbera incarnation. Always wondered exactly how he stacked up to other versions. And BTW... I just LOVE that cover with the copters and soldiers where he's charging through the middle of them. Niiiice. :D

You can apparently download a digital version for 5 bucks on the ipad.
I'm not home so I can't verify if the newest issue is available online in the US but can check later.

I do not see a release date for the magazine in the states.

From what I'm gathering from some VERY BRIEF looking, you can't even buy single issues of the magazine at all...if you want a single issue you have to do it via iPad, the only way to get the physical mag is to subscribe...

They kinda completely spoiled Godzilla's look in this trailer even though the fans already had a basic idea.
