Someone else said they heard that LP has the rights to Mothra, Rodan, Ang, and King Ghidorah. I'm pretty sure their source is the same as the one from TK.

I'm happy if that is true - all 4 monsters would work well in this universe.

what I would love to see is a full length version of the newscasts that were in the movie,always playing in the background,I wish they would have shot a few hours of "Real" news coverage and use it as B-roll footage

I dunno, if it was the budget that kept the military battle in the Bay out of the film, but maybe it was more of trying to make Godzilla someone to sympathize with.

Any place to see/get to see the script's battle with Godzilla in San Fran Bay in its entirety?

This is something I posted on FB and I think it kind of sums up how I feel after watching the movie for a second time.

"There are amazing Godzilla movies with about as much Godzilla screen time but those movies were always anchored by amazing characters. On the flip side, these characters are hardly the worst in a Godzilla movie and had there been more Godzilla it wouldn't of mattered as much. It's still probably number 9 in my top 10 for now."

I can see myself swapping G2014 out of my top 10 in the next few months in favor of G2000 or G vs. Biollante once the new flavor wears off.

I think earlier I said some things about how G2014 was probably 5th or 6th in my list.
Yeah, after 3 viewings, not so much. I think I couldn't make my mind up because everything up until the appearance of Godzilla in Hawaii is a top 10 Godzilla movie kind of thing, but everything after is just a top 15.

Well its nice to see that my predictions about who'd like it and wouldn't like it stayed on course.

I think the biggest strength for the movie were the Mutos. They are definitely worthy Godzilla foes, and have this distinct look that could have come out of the Millennium series had the staff gambled, and Japanese audiences (and culture for that matter) wanted to try something new.

I'm highly impressed that its besting Spiderman 2 and hanging in there with Cap2 on a daily basis at the box office. I did not think it would be doing this well here domestically.
