Anyone else get the feeling that we are getting a Godzilla the way he was originally envisioned? The story is anything but a retelling, but the character is so classic, I feel it would make the original Godzilla guys (Tanaka, Honda, etc) proud. Everything we've seen is pointing towards the original. This is going to be awesome.

Are you sure about that? I recall him saying their Godzilla is like someone from Toho saw the LP 's "real creature" and went back to design him (thus the 1954 was created). Which I completely disagree with . They're not similar

I'd say it looks BRIGHTER, but like there's less contrast or something...it's got a bit more of a pinkish hue to it than orange.
