I quite like the 3/4 side view of Godzilla that's printed on those napkins. We've more or less seen him completely now... when you take this view into consideration AND the overhead looking down shot from the teaser AND about 80-90% of his tail seen in the poster artwork. Certainly more details will be seen in the film, but we basically know what the Big Guy's gonna look like now. A nice combination of the classic "burned treebark" look and an alligator-ish texture for his skin. We've heard his roar, too; tweaked a tad but definitely the classic "Skreeonk!" we all know & love.

If the enemy Muto creatures look as good then we're really in for a treat. One really nice thing about Godzilla's adversary in this first film being a totally new creation is at least no one can gripe that their favorite established Kaiju wasn't done right: too much changed /not changed enough, or this or that or the other or... etc., etc. I expect we'll get an overload of whining about that once the first (of many!?) sequels are underway. I can almost guarantee it, seeing as how 4 other Toho characters were apparently licensed by LP. But for now it'll be quiet in that respect.

Wow... is it mid-May yet?

Beat me to it. Thanks for posting the pic.

Looks like all the toys/previous designs we've seen.

Can we stop worrying about the size of the spines now?

Wow, actually looks like Godzilla from behind.

Too bad the short-snouted face and gills ruins it from the front.

I honestly think it's not nearly as good as the . This one seems as generic as you could possibly make it.

I love that it follows (inadvertently I'm sure) the Criterion Gojira release by only showing him from behind.

Whettin' the appetite.

The first was a 'falling' poster (Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness), now we have the ever popular 'behind' poster. Still, pretty cool to me! I'd love if we got a full-on Godzilla poster nearer to the release.

Very cool artistic shot. Like a subdued Heisei Godzilla poster. Reminds me of The Return Of Godzilla poster, which him just so damn huge towering over the entire city. I really don't think Godzilla will be that huge though. I'm still thinking the 350 feet size is closer to the actual size (Gareth's own words said biggest yet, but only by a little).

Godzilla, looks like Godzilla, I like everything we've seen so far, and no "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!", his spines would be normal sized as Jelly and anyone else with a sliver of patience knew.

The design is pretty damn orthodox, and I like it. We'll see more during the coming months. Now if the rest of the fandom can calm the "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" down.

Hopefully this means that the marketing will start to pick up again soon. That is one awesome looking poster.

And you aren't seeing the bizarre elephant feet, either.

Showing the best angles is smart marketing.

The severe design flaws will be officially revealed eventually.
