The Canadian PG is generally the same as the American. On the other hand, a movie designated as PG-13 in the US might garner a 14A rating here. This page explains the Alberta board's PG classifications: http://albertafilmratings.ca/movie_rati ... de/pg.aspx

The MPAA probably haven't given it a rating yet. It looks like a rating for the trailers. I highly doubt the 300 sequel will be rated PG and Nolan's Interstellar rated G.

I was hoping for a PG-13 on this one. With the way the ratings are today I would say a PG Godzilla movie will be pretty tame. Not saying its going to suck. Just a little worried. Or is that just the rating for the trailer itself?

The MPAA won't give it a rating until the studio is confident they have a final cut. With about 5 and half months left before the movie is released, a final cut won't be submitted any time soon.

Godzilla vs. Biollante is rated PG. It's on the North American DVD.

Legendary's Godzilla will be rated PG-13. That's a no-brainer.

From what we can garner: the references to 1954-does this mean Godzilla 1954 is in the timeline? If so, how will they explain the 1954 incident? Maybe people have forgotten about it or claim it was mass hysteria linked with radiological terrorism? Any thoughts?

Any direct connection would likely be limited to a few lines of dialogue.

"This creature, or one like it, first appeared in Japan in 1954, causing widespread distruction in the downtown Tokyo area."

It would be nice to have the Ogata character tied in, perhaps as one of the last living survivors who directly witnessed Godzilla's original attack? Maybe give him some dialogue alongs the lines of: "The monster was believed to have been destroyed, but regettably the weapon and the man who invented it were both lost in the attack." Takarada's cameo would actually be logical, in that his appearance and lines would help drive the plot instead of just being a wink to us fans.

Making a sequel to a film 60 years after the fact, set in a new location, with an all new cast, with an all new crew, with an all new studio, with a totally different method of doing the effects, in a different language, when greater than three-quarters of the intended audience hasn't seen the original film is stupid. There, I said it.
