Godzilla (2014) Part Three (NON-SPOILER DISCUSSION)

Wow.... it's cool to see the direction they're going with for the film actually in film form. This is the Godzilla movie I've been waiting to see now for a long long time. We all love the old Godzilla films... but this is 2013, and this is exactly what a revived Godzilla needs to be if he's to have anymore success.

Just because the main character is a soldier, that means they are going to kill Godzilla? I'm still not understanding the logic here.

I think I'm in the minority here, but I prefer Godzilla's EXPLODER breath. That said, I think we're going to have something closer to an extreme concentrated heat breath weapon. Something akin to Gojira or Return Of Godzilla (Shinjuku scenes anyone?)

It doesn't matter to me if Godzilla dies. If they are anticipating a franchise it would obviously make more sense not to, but I'm sure there are creative ways around that.

All the negative talk about WB pulling the trailers down is just nonsense. From what I could tell, the music and the editing wasn't completed yet...the cuts were odd and and some of the sound seemed like it was flat out missing. Of course WB doesn't want that to leak - why would they? I did laugh at the "censorship" gif from GvsMG, but the complaint is pretty ridiculous. You'd think people would recognize that clearly this project was done with a ton of love - I think G Encounter alone suggests that - but everything Edwards and the cast has said shows they clearly care about this movie and want to make a faithful Godzilla film. I guess time will tell, but so far everything looks really good.

also, the second trailer has a few shots that I can see being used on commercials for movie channels like Starz etc. For example, Signourney Weaver walking out of the elevator with that flame throwing is constantly being used in compilation shots of various movies for those kind of channels. I thought I already saw a few of those in the second trailer.
