The Hesei series had its share of problems, but IMHO the take on Godzilla was not one of them. Its still my all-time favorite design (bio-goji & mosu-goji tie, with the original '64 mosu-goji coming in a close second); his overall screen presence and the suit acting were all top-notch. (Just maybe lose a little around those thighs, LOL.) The biggest beef with Godzilla himself was the fall back to beam exchanges. The gorgeous suit design cried out for tooth & nail combat, but instead we got beautiful-looking, but boring back & forth blasts from the monsters. Meh.
If they insist on using foes from the Toho rogue's gallery, I hope it's not the same 3. Let's see Angilas and/or Varan. It would be cool & interesting to see either of them actually rendered in correct quadruped stance. Varan is such a cool-looking design. A true shame he never got the respect he deserves. I'm honestly sick to death of always seeing Mothra, MechaG and Ghidorah. If they must, then make it Ghidorah, but save him for the 3rd entry, IF the films make it all the way thru to a full trilogy.
