Put me in the anti-genetically modified camp. I don't want Godzilla to be explained as a monster of science gone wrong. Then again, I think everyone knows I'm a staunch traditionalist.

Edwards said it would be in the movie. They just didn't want to make it some hack novelty item or whatever he said. So our boy will have breath.

Myself, I've always hoped for a combination of the traditional Godzilla and the more realistic Dinosaur.
Always had a hard time putting what I envisioned into words, and my art skills went the way of the Dodo a couple of Decades ago..

To that end, I'm pretty pleased with what I've seen so far.

Hey I would much rather just fight X-Men than X-Men and Pixar. Maybe they'll push X-Men back a few weeks, who knows.

It's hard to say how X-Men will do. First Class wasn't exactly a box office smash and didn't even make back it's budget from domestic numbers. (Obviously it did with the boost from international numbers.) The Wolverine performed with even weaker numbers and had a 60% lower box office opening than X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It's kind of a shame since the last two X-Men movies are a lot better than the two that preceded them. I imagine the new one will do a little better since the old cast is returning, and that has to be a draw, but the X-Men franchise just isn't blowing up theaters like it used to.

I'm not saying it won't affect Godzilla, but it's something to think about.

I don't mind the feet in that picture. Still has the definition of toes even though it is still stump shaped. I could get behind that.
