I can't tell you if there is a long fight scene....what I can say is that:
A) There is more to the airport scene than those two pages. The military is engaged with the MUTO (This is actually the first monster footage we got in the new footage trailer shown at Comic Con.) The military is throwing a "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" ton of firepower at the MUTO with no effect. Actually while they are engaged with it the Muto is more into destroying the planes on the tarmac.
Now, the scene where they describe Godzilla rising from the billowing smoke, towering over the Muto, that's 100% true, though 500 (or did it say 600 feet) I forgot, I have to say no because while the Muto was taller than the tail sections of the jumbo jets, that places him at maybe 150 feet tall (in insectoid/crab like walking posture mind you) Godzilla would be at least 300-350 feet tall but no more than that.
The scene at Comic Con cuts before we get a full Godzilla visual but it seems to play out like this:
Muto is attacking, military is deployed
Military engages Muto near the airport, doesn't do much but irritate the Muto
Muto attacks the airport, again, military is helpless
During the battle, Godzilla exits the ocean, in the darkness and smoke, he enters the fray almost without notice
He's so unexpected, that he clips a helicopter as it's firing on the Muto.
The scene we see from inside the terminal is the same, except at the end of the explosion trail is where Godzilla steps down (don't remember if that whole glass window shatters or not.
Military still going after Muto when Godzilla rises from the smoke.
THAT"S what I saw so interested to see what the final cut is like.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!
