Like I've thought for awhile now... I think the kaiju in this world of Godzilla are nuclear created only. I actually like that a lot. If you can somehow explain a dragon being crossed bread with nuclear powers, then I would be game. But you really can't, so I don't expect Ghidorah to make any type of appearance.
Now, lets say Hedorah does indeed end up being the main villain for Godzilla in the film... it's obvious that it would be a nuclear sludge creature.
So, any kaiju that can be brought into this world via nuclear waste or whatever, then they belong in this world. I really want them to stay away from "fantasy" kaiju like Mothra.

You're right.
Mothra should have its
own film.
... seriously, I think Mothra had a rock-solid storyline and could easily be remade.

Mothra is one of my favorite kaiju movies and I don't even really like Mothra that much. It's just a great movie. That said, I wouldn't care to see a new Mothra movie.

Mothra doesn't get into that mythical magical world until later in her film career. At the start, mothra is basically just a giant irradiated moth, it's not her fault that a bunch of primitive natives think she's dtheir god.

Mothra's always had a supernatural element to it, that just about any sci fi film historian who knows their stuff can point out. Its constantly pointed to in the DVD commentary.
Super savior of the Earth came later, but supernatural elements like the twins, telepathy, clairvoyance, and understanding monster language is never explained as RADIATION, and were always present.
