I just think it's funny, people clammoring for actor announcements.

When did we hear anything on actors for Pacific Rim?
Are there any HUGE NAME actors in Pacific Rim?
Do you REALLY care if they announce the equivalent of Diego Klattenhoff in Godzilla, or in other words, does anybody think they're going to get a new name that is suddenly going to give them a massive fan-boner?

The five cast members announced so far are likely the main cast. EVERYBODY else (yes, even Takarada should we be so lucky to get him in the film) will range from minor role, to cameo, to glorified set-dressing.

I already know I won't be able to help myself from leaked pics, story synopsis, etc. I'm resigned to the fact that I just don't have that kind of self-control for a project I am this excited about. So the more Legendary keeps to themselves (while giving us a few crumbs here and there), the better.

I'm trying to think of a movie production in the last few years that had released all the info that G-fans are wishing was released at this stage in the game...

I think we actually have more information than what I'm used to with this production so far. I often don't keep tabs on shoot dates, every single script re-write, the shooting location and every confirmed/non-confirmed casting shenanigans that come my way. Feel blessed, guys.
