They refer to Godzilla being expensive. How do they know the budget for the movie?

Since production starts next month, panic button yet?

I would think Lin and Lee would want the movie to push forward so they can get whatever coin they can out of the movie. Rather than messing with it's release date and potentially hurting it at the box office. As far as I know it has a GOOD date and opens up the summer.
