You know, I totally believe that if they do make more MonsterVerse movies after Godzilla vs. Kong one of them is gonna be called "Destroy All Monsters;" a movie that features every monster introduced previously uniting against a common enemy - but, if Godzilla: King of the Monsters ends up using King Ghidorah then they probably won't use Ghidorah again, right? They'll need another final boss monster, and who could that be?

The answer... of course... is Bagan.

All joking aside, I will never understand this fascination with Bagan, a monster who has been rejected by Toho to appear in their films a number of times. Nothing against the fans of Bagan, I just don't find him an interesting kaiju, whether if it's his design or background. I actually find Gabera a lot more interesting than Bagan

I feel like Bagan, or rather the ethos behind him, was a big influence on Spacegodzilla and Destroyah. I'm not particularly fond of either, so I dont imagine Bagan would be any different.

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but seems like Godzilla King of the Monsters will be shooting this summer in Atlanta. Great News. Now lets hear about more casting news. Here's one hoping Ken Watanabe comes back, he's a must!

I think Bagan would have been perfect in the late Heisei era, maybe as the villain in a film betweenSpaceGodzilla and Destoroyah. Nearly every Heisei kaiju was tied to Godzilla in some way: Biollante (genetically), Ghidorah (intended to erase Godzilla from history), Mechagodzilla (duh), Baby G (duh), SpaceGodzilla (...), and Destoroyah (created by the weapon that killed the first Godzilla). If his origin had been left alone, Bagan probably would have broken that chain. Of course, he'd also be another largely immobile enemy of the Big G. That said, I think his time has come and gone. I can't really see him working in any non-Heisei Godzilla story. If he should make it to the screen, I imagine he'd have changed too much from the Kazuki Omori version of the character, which IMO would defeat the purpose.

Watanabe I'd love to see back. Hawkins is a brilliant actress, but if they bring her back they better not waste her again.
