I got one of the dark NECA Godzilla's with only very subtle highlights... kinda like it that way,

From this movie being out, I didn't realize there were this many female fans of the Godzilla movies. It's kinda funny actually a woman I work with just said that she was a Godzilla fan, and I would have never guessed. Must be a lot of Godzilla fans in the closet.

still getting full theatre around my way, and this is with X,Mal,Cruise,And teenage flick,during prime time friday movie night ps and I also noticed a lot of women checking this movie.To be fair its 98% guys dragging them along

The same can be said for region. I would never had expected Kansas to be a prime area for Godzilla fans but I was wrong. While I was in Dallas to see the film, I was told by family in Kansas that It took three attempts to avoid sold out shows. All is well for Godzilla in the land of farms, cows, horses, pigs and chickens it seems.

It was just the fact that those cut always kept happening that was a little frustrating. There was plenty of monster battle footage.

I just felt like it could have used just a little more, maybe eight or ten minutes, that wouldn't cut away from the human drama. For example, after Godzilla's revelation, we could have cut back to Olsen, and then after her reaction to seeing what's on the TV, we could have cut back to a few minutes of Godzilla and Muta fighting before the later runs out to the sea.

There's a grand total of two cutaways from major fights.

That may be, but it's also two cutaways from the three big fight scenes. That's nearly 70% of the fight scenes. And I'm not sure if other people count it, but are we including not seeing the female MUTO destroy Vegas in all her glory? Cause that one really bugs me even still.

Me and some friends went to see Godzilla today, but when we got there the only available seats were right up on the screen! We'll probably have better luck tomorrow morning.

The movie is making money? That must only mean it is an abject failure and the fate of the franchise is doomed!

As much as I really like the design in the film, I do prefer this, and wish that it was what they went with.
