So Who Saw Frozen?

Gotta admit, I thought the movie would suck based on the trailers. Some friends of mine saw it, they were thrilled and I went and saw it. Twice already
I absolutely love how this was an artistic reconstruction of the Disney Renaissance films, and a deconstruction of pretty much all the major Disney Tropes. Beautiful movie.

Agreed. Foot in mouth for this one. I ended up loving it. One of Disney's best (without Pixar) in a long while. The scene with Elsa building her ice palace? Amazing.

It was fantastic to the point that we made plans to see the movie tomorrow night with four other friends who had not seen it yet, and to see it in 3D as we did not do so the first time. And now it isn't even playing in 3D anywhere!!!!

I LOVED FROZEN. I was sort of tentatively interested since Olaf looked unbearable in the previews, but he turned out to be pretty alright. Even if I still hate his design. It's easily my favorite film of the year, and the first movie in forever that I came out of completely satisfied and entertained.

Yeah, the trailer back in May that stared Olaf made it look like it was some stupid movie about a snowman. Imagine my surprise when I saw it and it was a Disney Princess movie.
We saw it again last night and it was even better, but I'm mad that no theater around me was showing it in 3D anymore, as that was the reason we planned to see it again. Fortunately, one of my friends just got a 3DTV, so I'll just have to get the BD with the 3D version on it and watch it on the small screen in 3D.

I saw Frozen last week with my family. It was a good movie. I like how it ended. Will there be a Frozen 2?

I saw Frozen when the home video releases came out, I thought it was a pretty good movie. I was surprised that so much was changed from starting out with THE SNOW QUEEN. That there were changes makes some sense though and it wouldn't be the first time a Hans Christian Anderson story was significantly changed when becoming a movie.
I could see Disney going full blown Hans Christian Anderson crossover in a sequel -- bring in Ariel and call the sequel FROZEN SEAS or something like that. Maybe add in Thumbelina, although Disney could do a solo movie for Thumbelina first.

Frozen was definitely better than I expected it to be and I enjoyed it. I think Olaf could have been removed entirely and it would have been a better movie, but I understand why they put him in there. Still VERY obnoxious and pointless.
I am conflicted on this movie now though, because when the Academy Award was given to it over The Wind Rises, that made an enemy out of me. It's like Jethro Tull vs. Metallica at the Grammys. I can't get over stupid crap like that for some reason.

So yeah, I enjoyed it, but now refuse to ever watch it again.

I'm sure we've all seen any number Frozen parodies by now, they seem to have slowed down a bit now but it occurred to me that recently that the ultimate Frozen parody can only be done by Disney themselve (via Pixar). Frozone singing "Let It Go" -- Disney could probably get people in theaters just to see a short of Frozone, who's voiced by Samuel L. Jackson, singing "Let It Go".

That one's pretty good. It's no Little Mermaid, but it's pretty good.
Who knows what a Frozen 2 will look like.

As a kid I always liked the 2nd one more. Haven't seen either since the 90s though.

Rescuers Down Under AND the Toy Story franchise. You can "pixar" me all you want, it's a Disney franchise and at this point, there's not a huge difference between Disney's animation studios and Pixar.

Rescuers Down Under is a great sequel. I like it better than the original as well.
