With the advancement of technology, I'm not too surprised with this announcement. The question is, will it actually be good?

I'm currently watching the original series. While the animation is clunky by today's standards and pop culture references are dated, this is still a fun show to watch. I would love to see a good relaunch of Reboot!

I could never get into Reboot, but I am glad for its fans. Of course Beast Wars cannot be continued (as the article writer hoped for), since the dreadful Beast Machines ended it, and I don’t think a retelling would go over to well. HOWEVER--- I would love to see War Planets (aka Shadow Raiders) come back, or pick up where it left off since it actually never ended. That show was flippin’ AMAZING ! Yet I feel like I’m the only one who remembers it sometimes.
Glad to see Mainframe (now Rainmaker) is still around. I thought the last thing they did was that unusual attempt at an adult themed “New” Spider-Man on MTV back in 2003. I looked up info on them a few months back. I guess they have been doing mostly Barbie CG films for the past decade (which is why they dropped off my radar apparently). But they did release their first Theatrical film -Escape From Planet Earth earlier this year. My son has seen it on Netflix many times, and I didn’t know until I watched the credits that it was a Rainmaker film. The animation models look almost the same as those used on Planet 51, but that film was apparently released by a small independent studio (Ilion Animation Studios). Rainmaker/Mainframe has come a long way since 1994. I’ll give the new Reboot a try if it could lead to some of their other earlier properties getting revived as well. Please, please, please War Planets!!!!!

I sort of kind of remember the War Planet toys.
