As if there was any doubt. Clone Wars would have continued probably at least through a 7th season if not for the acquisition by Disney. Now especially with one SW theatrical movie planned each year for the next 5 years, I don't see an end to this series either (unless they do it in "real time" in which after 5 seasons, they are literally caught up to the point where the first film occurred)

I wouldn't be overly surprised to see this series ultimately end.
And then be immediately replaced by another series.

I'd be cool with a TV series that took the route of Battlefront: Twilight Company (which I'm reading now) which takes place in between New Hope and Empire and focuses on a company of front-line rebel troops who just do various missions.

Holy crap this has gotten me so hyped for the second half of the season.
I really hope they do more with Ezra being tempted by the dark side, something I don't think he's really had to deal with that too much.
But that Ashoka and Anakin/Vader bit. I really hope they don't kill her.

A friend of mine does a Star Wars podcast. They did a special podcast just for the finale.
https://soundcloud.com/blast-points/epi ... ght-of-theI LOVED it.
Got to say, Sith Helicopters were a bit outrageous.

Wow... a really good season finle. Pretty much every interview I've seen with Filoni, he says something I like. I'd love to just have an hour to pick his brain sometime, to bad that will never happen.
. I especially loved Ashoka's line "There's always some truth in Legends" -I may be reading too much into that, but to me it was kind of a nod to the fans of the EU who stuck with it, until Disney relabeled it as "Legends".
Also Darth Maul quoting some lines directly from the Darth Bane novels was pretty cool as well. Don't have time to do a more extensive review, but I am definitely looking forward to season 3.

I really enjoyed the finale. I can't wait to see where this goes, but it's a shame the Inquisitor's and their origin wasn't more thoroughly explored.

1. -A Blind Master & Dark-Side influenced Apprentice, sounds like Kanan & Ezra are now the new Rahm & Galen (Force Unleashed)
2. Grand Admiral Thrawn - Woaw..... This is probably going to be the best season ever of any past Clone Wars or Rebels season!. Too bad he will never get to do any of his previous EU exploits, but still just having him legitimized in the official canon finally is awesome enough.
CANT WAIT!

Check out 1:29 in the trailer -- those look like they could be Dark Troopers. And if those are Dark Troopers could we just maybe see Kyle Katarn (and perhaps even Jan Ors and the Moldy Crow) I know the odds are slim to none but it would be cool.
After how season 2 ended and now we get our first look at season 3, I'm a bit bummed all over again that the speculation that TFA's Kylo Ren was really a Dark side turned Ezra Bridger didn't pan out (though everyone understood it was a stretch for Disney to begin with). The temper tantrum throwing son of Han and Leia was a rather unengaging wannabe Sith Lord (and if he couldn't channel his anger into the Dark side properly it makes you wonder how he could ever been a threat to Luke & Luke's other students). I guess in the end I'm glad the possibility of Ezra turned Sith wasn't wasted on TFA's Kylo Ren.

I never heard that fan theory...I don't even know how that could have been plausible. We know Ezra is the same age as Luke, and Kylo Ren was always known to be a younger character,(we knew he was going to be a son of one of the main characters...just didn't know which) no way it could have worked
.
Yes Looks like dark Troopers to me and 1:08 is that the Outrider?

I just hope this Thrawn guy does something beyond his debut episode. The only area this show falters in is with its villains who seem awesome in the first episode and then becoming generic goons until they die at the end of the season.

Pretty sure the Grand Inquisitors presence will still be around somehow as it was in Season Two, his story is still not finished. Also, Darth Maul is still very much alive, it also appears they will be treating Grand Admiral Thrawn as he is in the books, he wont be dying any time soon. Yes I know in this "Disnified" SW Universe, Heir to the Empire etc... will never happen, but you can at least see where a character like this could survive well into the post RotJ era.
