Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

So I just got to thinking about how awesome the old school cartoon network was! (Along with old school Scifi) With the Space Ghost, Thundaar, Herculoids, Birdman, Galaxy Trio, Pirates of Darkwater, etc. Boomerang was going good there for a while but now it has some newer cartoons on I wish they would make a couple days for those old shows. Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking but I miss serious Action and Adventure cartoon it all seems to be taken over by the comedy shows! Sigh :^[

If Boomernag is showing "current" cartoons (as in anything post 2000) what is the point? CN should keep Boomerang pre-1989 IMHO, or add a 3rd channel. Lord knows there is enough older shows to fill time with.

I love watching Jonny Quest. The look of that old show and the whole aesthetic is wonderful. I can't stand anything after, despite having been pretty obsessed with the 1990s version as a kid.

It's not like Boomerang is all newer stuff. It's basically a channel that exists soley to keep their huge library of shows in use. Mostly old, but some new stuff. I was surprised to learn that my young nephews were big Boomerang viewers and knew all about the Flintstones, Top Cat, Yogi Bear, ect. (also, they're really into I Love Lucy!)

The awesomeness of the new Scooby Doo show and it's frequent, classic Hanna Barbara references made me realize just how much I loved a lot of those old shows. I've added a bunch to my 'to buy' list (Jonny Quest, Top Cat, Space Ghost and Dino Boy, ect.)
