I watched some of this about a year or two ago. So weird. At first I didn't think it was something really of the time, just internet nonsense.

Certainly it's a cheap and flawed process, but the stories are great pulpy fun. Also done in Synchrovox are two shows designed by the legendary Alex Toth, Space Angel and Captain Fathom. Both use the same process but with much better (yet still mostly non-animating) art.
