^John Stewart isn't edgy (he said so a few nights ago) and his show mainly goes after media hypocracy and in that provides a much needed service - and his juxtaposition of Gamera and Keith Olbermman a few weeks ago was classic!
....buuuut, back to South Park. I don't always agree with the show - I think they occasionally miss the point of the topic and get a very wrongheaded result (like saying alcoholism isn't a disease) - but if I had to agree with every political belief of the people who's art I like it would be a crappy world indeed. I think Matt and Trey are some of the most consistantly brilliant people working today and
I am pissed that Comedy Central decided to only air the conclusion to the 2-parter once and not re-run it. I was ready to watch it after the Colbert Report. That's when I watch the show!

Apparently Comedy Central has been caving in. The episode was only aired once and each subsequent airtime that was SUPPOSED to be rerunning the episode has been doing reruns. Pretty disappointing, especially for the people who didn't get to see it. Its not bad enough that CC aired the episode censored with 30 seconds of dialogue missing.

I'm mad because I didn't get to see it Wednesday night.
The guy who threatened "South Park" may be potentially dangerous, but he was a kook, and caving in to kooks and special interest groups is a greater threat to free speech than anything the government can do.

Well it is TRULY a slippery slope to go down when you keep appeasing someone or some group. Note that in both this and their "Cartoon Wars" eps they had Jesus defecating on W Bush, watching porn, Buddha snorting coke. Not I think so much to slam them as to show what SOME are allowing and NOT allowing. I used to think the great thing America had was its freedom and free speech-not to say that there isn't just plain dumb crude stuff that just should go away. But my "edgy" comment stands in that currently we have all these "comedians" and commentators glossing over how hip and edgy they are while they all make fun of the same targets over and over. Both sad and scary that death threats, and in the past MURDER have happened...over a cartoon.

I know they took Super Best Friends off of the internet, but surely it's still avaliable on DVD?
