With classes done I finally had time to kick back and enjoy my Looney Tunes Golden Collection vol. 3.
This collection, more than the previous two (which I also loved), best replicates my childhood Looney Tunes experience. I wasn't too familiar with the '50s cartoons (in fact, I probably only saw Duck Dodgers and What's Opera Doc with their inclusion in the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie compilation film), becuase untill 1997 Cartoon Network didn't air them and by that time (age 9) I was becoming more into Star Wars and the like rather than cartoons so my best cartoon-watchin' days were over at that point.
This collection is all about the '40s Bugs Bunny cartoons, old Hollywood parodies and late '30s early '40s Daffy Duck and Porky Pig cartoons - just like I remember.
Oh, and I just found out the '70s Looney Tunes Christmas special is a bonus feature on Golden Collection vol. 5, which I happen to be getting on Christmas! That was a childhood staple. I remember being sooo upset when I lost the tape with that on it.
