After absolutely loving the first two Looney Tunes Golden Collections (I could kick myself for not buying 'em years ago) I ordered
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Animation Collection. It looks like a really cool set. It's three discs of the animated shorts that won or were nominated for Oscars and who's rights now fall under Warner Bros. (which means MGM and Fleischer toons in addition to WB shorts).

Most of the LT shorts on it are on the Golden Collections, but two of the four Bugs Bunny shorts included are nice, remastered versions while in the Golden Collections they were just special features and thus "off the shelf," and one of the Bugs toons isn't found on the Golden Collections at all!
Another cool thing: 13 Tom and Jerry shorts. I like Tom and Jerry, but I don't love them enough to buy their DVD sets, so it's nice to have a representative sample.
It's got the first Superman short (have it) and that cool Popeye meets Sindbad short (oooh, I need those Popeye sets too, don't I?).
...but the best thing about the set, and the thing that made me know I needed to have it, is that it contains two of my absolute favorite cartoons:
Peace on Earth and
The Dot and the Line. I've loved those since I was a kid, and I can't wait to see them again.
