Absolutely love this show. There's no way to sum it up and do it justice other than to just say that the writing is brilliant. The indescribable way it mixes satire and tribute to classic cartoons and comic books (among so many other sources of inspiration), the sheer level of thought and care that's put into the show's mythos, the fact that all of the characters have developed and grown as the series has progressed put The Venture Bros. in a very deserved league all its own. What's especially remarkable is how the show's writers haven't fallen into any of the trappings of routine or base-level storytelling. By the end of any given episode, things are seldom entirely back to the way they were 23 minutes prior. Three seasons (39 episodes) in and the premise of the show has blossomed and evolved far beyond what it initially started out as. It's a show that's impossible to jump into in the second or third season and truly "get" everything regarding the characters and their relationships to one another, but it greatly rewards both repeat viewings and devotion to follow it as it goes.
Can't wait for the fourth season to hit in November.
